Resorts and Selling Time Share Properties
Imagine if you owned property in a tourist friendly location. Surely you could make a mint selling time share items would you not? After all, there are a number of resorts in the local vicinity and that means that there will never be a lack of a steady supply of needy tourists who are looking for a great deal. In fact, you may even consider the option of calling a local resort to see if they are willing to co-opt and agreement with you and form a partnership to sell time shares. Not so fast, gang. While this would seem like a decent idea on the surface there may be a number of logistical problems that might occur mainly because the reliability of the resort is in question.
Part of the reason for this is that many resorts already have a number of properties that they are already offering for sale. Because of this they may not have any need or desire to get involved in any partnerships that would not yield significant income for them. Resorts are already pulling in millions of dollars so what is the benefit of getting involved with a local seller? Well, they may be willing to do so if the deal is worth it to them and that means utterly OUTRAGEOUS commissions on the sale of the time share. Needless to say, paying out a 40% commission would be a ludicrous concept and this is why it is best to avoid the resorts as potential partners in the sale.
Instead, here is a much better idea: rather than consider grandiose plans of getting involved in an agreement with a huge resort consider a local real estate agent who could easily facilitate the sale with little effort and much smaller commission rates. Clearly, this would be a much better option!
