Sell My Timeshare for Me, Please!

Are you feeling anxious about selling your timeshare? This is understandable. Sellers generally would prefer to get a desired price within a reasonable time frame. However, the seller may have certain goals but so does the buyer. If the seller can’t locate a buyer within a desired timeframe, well, that’s just the way it goes sometimes. In such a case, a little patience is needed,

Unfortunately, some folks do not have the capacity to be patient. If they employ a broker, they will call, pester, or badger him repeatedly. This will not work….period. When you put undue pressure on a broker you are undermining your own cause. For the broker to work on your behalf, your relationship must be solid. If you are pestering him, he probably can’t wait to get rid of you. That means he might sell the property to the first person who accepts a rock bottom price. Now, some may think this isn’t a bad idea. However, if you undersell the value of the property, then you have cheated yourself.

When a sales rep is allowed reasonable time and flexibility, the rep can orchestrate a better sale. This is because undue pressure or time constraints often prove distracting. No, that does not mean you look the other way when a rep is sandbagging. However, it is critical to understand the sales process is complex. A rep cannot make a deal happen when the right factors are not present. “Sell my timeshare for me, please!” may sound like an order, but it is really just a request. So, allow for a little leeway and patience when waiting for your rep to make a sale.

It is not enough to sell a timeshare. A sale must be best for all parties involved. If not, the person left out in the cold will be the seller. Poor sale processes generally hurt the seller more than anyone else.
